DMZ Tour in Korea

Traveling in South Korea is probably what most people dream about. However, when you visit South Korea, do you ever think to go to the most dangerous place in that country? As for me, i've been there once. Yep, i went to Korean DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). It is probably one of the most dangerous place in the country because it's a buffer zone as well as a border between South Korea and North Korea, however don't worry, you can still visit that area.  There are some of sites that is provided for tourists who want to know more about DMZ and the truth behind that area.

As for me, i went to some of places in DMZ such as:
1. Imjingak Resort (Nuri Peace Park)
It is a park which full of message of peace for both South Korea and North Korea.

2. The Third Tunnel
Based on the information from my tour guide, the third tunnel is the tunnel which is allegedly built by North Korean people so that they could go to South Korea secretly through that tunnel. However, North Korea people claim that it's not made by their people, but the tunnel was formed by nature.  Until this time, it is not clear how the tunnel could be formed because both sides have different opinion about this. (Please Correct Me If I'm Wrong about this info)

3. Odusan Observatory
In this place, there are many binoculars so that you could see North Korea's view. Well, it's not really clear for me, but some of my friends said that they could see North Korean flag (well, i don't know, coz i couldn't see it huuu). Anyway, in this place, we met one of the military man so that we didn't miss the chance to take a picture with him.

4. Dorasan Station
Well, obviously you could see that the tracks in this station is tracks to Pyeongyang, the capital city of North Korea. However, it's actually a non-active station and there is no "real" tracks to Pyeongyang here. So, don't expect you could go directly to North Korea from here hehe. But, the hope is someday this station could be operated so that there will be a real track to Pyeongyang from this Dorasan station. In that day, maybe South Korea and North Korea has been reunited again. Hopefully!!!

I went to DMZ with my school fellows, and we use travel agent to go there. From what I know, DMZ is quite far from Seoul and the place is quite difficult to reach using public transportation. So that, I recommend you to go to DMZ by using travel agent. Or maybe you can try the travel train that go to DMZ directly (I ever heard about this travel train but i don't know specifically, maybe you can search more about this train to DMZ). The most important thing is, if you are an international tourist like me (not Korean), please bring your passport when you go there or you will not be allowed to enter the area. Enjoy !!!
