What comes first to your mind when you heard "Ujung Kulon"? Is it rhinoceros, National Park, or Wildlife Reserve? Well, those things are right. But there are more things that you can explore from Ujung Kulon. Let’s explore it now!
Ujung Kulon National Park (locally known as Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon) is located in Banten, precisely in Tatar Pasundan, that is the most western part of Java Island, Indonesia. Ujung Kulon National Park became the first national park which was established in Indonesia, and also one of the World Heritage protected by UNESCO in 1991. This National Park Area naturally is a place to conserve the nature and wildlife. However, more than that, there are many islands located in this National Park which are really good not only as conservation place but also as the tourism place.
First, you can visit Peucang Island. To be able to get to this island, you must depart by ship from the mainland. The author herself first departed from “Dermaga Sumur”, that is the first mainland before went to the island. The author went by using a big ship and it took three hours to get there. When you arrived in Peucang Island, you will be directly greeted by the white sand beach that is spread out in front of you. Besides enjoying the white sand beach, you also can enjoy the great view that is created from the water of the beach. The water in that beach is really blue that you can even see what’s inside the water. In this beach area, you can swim, snorkeling, and even diving. Then, if you get into the island, you can see the natural beauty of the Peucang Island. The island itself is shaped like forest and there are many wild animals that live there, such as wild boar, monkeys and deer. But do not worry the animals will not bother us if we do not do things that disrupt their lives. Peucang Island is the site in Ujung Kulon that is most visited by visitors from both home and abroad. That Island has already been equipped with facilities and infrastructure as well as a variety of natural attractions that can be visited by Travellers. The facilities available in Peucang Island include lodging, the Information Center, Dock, and so forth.

At that time, author only happened to see the bulls. There are many bulls so that don’t make a noise that can disrupt them.  In addition we can also see the historical site of Dutch colonial heritage in the form of “Tanjung Layar Lighthouse” (Mercusuar Tanjung Layar).
