How to Go to Super Junior Kyuhyun Cafe, "Mom House" Cafe

Here is another blog to guide you to "Idol" Cafe, "MOM HOUSE" Cafe. 

Super Junior has always been one of my favorite Kpop groups ever. Me and most of my friends at my age, we all mostly know Super Junior, and we really like their song. Now you know my age lol.  And especially for me, Super Junior is one of groups that brought me to fall into Kpop music. When I lived in Korea, I went to three cafes owned by Super Junior families, first cafe is  Donghae cafe (I already made post about it here), then I continue the journey to Kyuhyun Cafe (Mom House), and the last but not least there is Yesung Cafe (Maybe I will make a post about this cafe later). 

I wonder why the name of this cafe is Mom House, maybe because this cafe is owned by Kyuhyun's mom??? (If anyone knows behind story about the name of this cafe, please just comment below hehe). 

Anyway, in this cafe, like the other cafes, you can order cake and coffee, and hang out with your friends here. Because they provide many tables and wifi. But there is other service that they provide, that is a guest house. If someday you travel to Korea, this "Mom" Guest House can be one of your options to stay because it's really near to Myeongdong, favorite shopping area for tourist and everyone's destinations when they visit Seoul.

Inside the cafe you can find many photos, pictures, and gifts from fans for Kyuhyun. They put those things in cafe as the decoration. Here they are.

So, here is the direction to go there:

- You can take the subway, get off at Myeongdong Station, and get out from the Exit number 2.

- After that, just keep going straight a little bit (only around 50 meters), and then you will find the Hotel Prince and the shop "Alpha" located between the alley, you turn right to that alley.

- And just keep your eyes on your left side, because the cafe will be on left side, you just need to walk a little bit along the alley (maybe around 50 meters walk only, p.s. the road is a bit uphill), and then you will find the cafe on your left side. No need to worry to find it, because they put a large sign "MOM House" in front of the cafe.

Lost in Chuncheon

Long time no see.....

As spring comes around, I want to post about one of my spring memories. 

This is, actually, I don't know whether this is a good or bad memory lol, but when you did something with your good friends, it's definitely a good memory, isn't it? :)

So, I and my friends actually planned to visit Nami Island. We were so excited at that time because it's actually the first time of us going to Nami Island. When we got off from the train, first we visited one of Chuncheon Dakgalbi restaurants and we visit the one that provided halal dakgalbi. It was delicious but sadly I forgot the name of the restaurant :(

After performing Dzuhur prayer there (great that prayer room is also provided by the restaurant), we were ready to continue our trip to Nami Island. But, but, but, the problem is started now LOL. We didn't aware that we went on such a long holiday in Korea, so the traffic was everywhere. There was no taxi that wanted to take us to Nami Island because the roads were full and jammed. 

At the end we didn't get any taxi, but luckily there is a tour group that offered us to go with them using their bus. We really grateful, even though we still didn't know where they would take us :') Long short story, we got off in chuncheon city (I believe). I also didn't know exactly where it was :(

From there, we didn't know how to go to Nami Island because no one of us knew the direction. And it's already afternoon so it's quite impossible to reach Nami Island. And we were tired as well. Sooooooooooo, we decided to not go to Nami Island. Later, we decided to search the google about the tourist attraction there and we found one near our location, that was Soyanggang Skywalk. Then, we went there right away. 

Soyanggang Skywalk is built above the Uiamho Lake. It is the walkway consists of a transparent glass floor and kind of looking like a bridge in my opinion (but it's not a bridge).  When you walk on the skywalk, you must use the special shoes cover provided so that the skywalk didn't get dirty. 

Last time before going back home, we spend our time by having banana milk tea lol.

It was all about lost in chuncheon, but because I did with it good friends and we had fun together, it turned out to be one of best memories in spring :)

Simple Korean Dishes To Be Made During Your “Stay At Home”

Staying home all alone where you just sleeping, eating, watching tv, and repeating the same things over and over will probably make you boring. However, there is nothing we can do since now many countries has implemented “lockdown” and “physical distancing” policy to prevent the contagion of COVID-19. Therefore, in order to reduce the boredom, we should make our stay at home more fun and more productive. Out of many great options, my suggestion here is to improve your cooking skill, especially in cooking korean food. There are many kinds of korean food that you can make, but this time i will recommend you these four simple dishes that don’t really need many ingredients or special technique. So, check these out!!

1. Tteokbokki

A very simple korean traditional snack that is made from Korean rice cake or called “tteok” which is cooked/boiled in the tteokbokki sauce that is made from gochujang (korean chili paste), sugar, gochugaru (korean chili pepper), garlic, and water. You can also add other ingredients such as fish cake, green onions, and boiled eggs in order to complement this dish. And the great news is if it’s hard for you to find the ingredients, especially the ingredients to make the tteokbokki sauce, you don’t need to worry anymore because nowadays there are so many instant tteokbokki that is sold online. Based on my experience, here is how to cook instant tteokbokki: put the tteok in the boiled water, put the instant tteokbokki sauce, add other ingredients, stir it, wait till the sauce is thickened, and it’s done! It’s so easy, isn’t it? 

2. Gimbap

Gimbap is made from two words. “Gim” in Korea means seaweed while “bap” means rice. Gimbap itself is a dish that is made from cooked rice which is filled with other ingredients such as tuna, ham, beef, egg, spinach, carrot, cucumber, and etc. (the fillings can be vary depends on your taste). And after that, the rice with those ingredients will be rolled in dried sheets of laver seaweed or “Gim”. It’s like Korean roll sushi and very easy to be made. Make sure that you roll it well so when you cut it later, the ingredients won’t fall apart!

 

3. Bibimbap

Another “bap” or rice menu that i want to introduce here. To be simplify said, bibimbap is a korean traditional mixed-rice contained with rice, egg, meat, and assorted vegetables that is mixed and served in a bowl. In my opinion, making bibimbap is quite simple. First, you just need to prepare the ingredients and cook each ingredients separately. Here are the ingredients that often be used and can be your preference: meat, egg, vegetables such as carrot, spinach, bean sprout, mushroom, cucumber, and etc. Of course the ingredients can be vary, depends on what you prefer to use and the ingredients you had. Then you just need to put the rice and the cooked ingredients in a bowl. After that you just have to mix it with the bibimbap sauce! The point is you have to stir it well, so that the rice, the ingredients, and the sauce can be mixed well.  

 

4. Ramyeon

Last but definitely not least, “Ramyeon” or Korean ramen.  The simplest menu from all menus that I have mentioned above. But i guarantee you the taste will not be that simple, because so far Korean Ramyeon is definitely one of the best noodles i’ve ever tasted. To cook Ramyeon like Korean people, i recommend you to use Korean instant noodle, if i can said the brand, probably shin ramyeon is the best for me. But you can also use other brand as well. And don’t forget to cook the ramyeon in the Korean yellow pot that often you see in the Korean drama.  But if you don’t have the yellow pot, just use the pot that you have in your home. Then cooked the instant noodle in the boiled water, add the seasoning, stir it well,  and it’s done! If you want a cheesy flavor, you can also add cheese on the top of noodle and let it melt. Then i can say enjoy your food!!!

How to go to Super Junior's Donghae Cafe, Haru and One Day

Hello friends, in this post I will share the information about how to go to Super Junior's Donghae Cafe, which is called "Haru and One Day".

But before, let me tell you a little bit review about Haru and One Day Cafe.
Actually, at first I came to Haru and One Day Cafe because I am a fan of Super Junior and I just want to support Donghae's business. But, after I came to the cafe, it turns out that I really like the cafe. Not only get a warm coffee and delicious cake, but I also get a very nice and cozy atmosphere. Moreover, the cafe is so instagrammable with super cool and modern interiors.

I super recommend you to come here and hangout with your friends. You can also come to take as many pictures as possible since this cafe is really beautiful. And if you see donghae's instagram, you will know that he often take a pic inside this cafe, so maybe you can recreate the photo by taking pic at the place where Donghae's pic is taken ^^

If I come to Korea again, I will definitely go back to visit this cafe. I wish when I come again later, I can really meet with Donghae in this cafe hehe.... :)

Here is the way you can get there: 

 - Use subway, take Line 2 to go to Seongsu Station.
 - After arrive at Seongsu Station, get out from Exit 4. 
 - From the exit (don't move your body direction), just walk straight for less than a minute (it's really near from the exit).
 - The cafe will be on the left so pay attention to the left side. It is super near from the exit so i'm sure that you won't get lost finding this cafe.

And for your information, Haru and One Day Cafe is located in Seongsu Area. It is the same area where Cube Entertainment and Cube Cafe are located. If you happen to come to Donghae's Cafe, I recommend you to also come to Cube Entertainment and Cube Cafe "20 Space The Mint Universe". Sulbing, Best Korean Dessert (Best Korean Bingsoo)

Hello dear friends, in this post, I want to take you to my favorite dessert cafe, "Sulbing". This dessert cafe can be easily found when you go to South Korea and is located in many cities.

When I was living in Korea, this dessert cafe has been my favorite all time. Every time I crave for bingsoo (korean dessert), I will always come to this cafe. And for your information, bingsoo is a typical Korean dessert containing shaved ice and various toppings. 

The special thing about this cafe is the bingsoo (korean dessert) which is sold in this cafe comes with the variety of flavors and toppings. You can just choose your favorite one out of many options. My favorite one is Green Tea Sulbing. The bingsoo also come in a quite a large bowl so if you are not a big-eater, make sure you come with your friends to eat the bingsoo together ^^

Besides, not only providing bingsoo, but this cafe also provide other snacks such as toppoki pizza, bread, and other sweet snacks. As for the ambience of cafe, the cafe is really cozy and super comfortable place to hangout with your friends or even for date.

If it's your first time going to Korea, I recommend you to try Sulbing Cafe which is located in Myeongdong Area. Because the location is in the heart of Myeongdong, near the shopping area, so it is very easy to be reached. So, enjoyyyy!!!

Let's Go To Jeonju

Hi dear friends,
Where will you go when you come to Korea for the first time? I believe most of you will answer Seoul City as a destination that you will visit when you come to Korea. But actually you should know, there are other cities that are worth to visit in South Korea, one of which is Jeonju. Now, let's explore Jeonju with me^^

• How to Go 

If you come from Seoul, you can go by bus. I recommend u to go by bus than KTX because it will cost cheaper than KTX.
First, u have to go to Seoul Central City Terminal to buy ticket and get on the bus to Jeonju from there.

• What to Explore in Jeonju

1. Eating Bibimbap

Bibimbap is korean traditional mixed-rice contained with rice, egg, meat, and assorted vegetables. Well, maybe u can get bibimbap even in Seoul. But you should know that bibimbap is Jeonju special dish. That's why in my opinion, the flavor of Jeonju bibimbap is different with bibimbap that i've tried in other regions such as Seoul. Bibimbap in Jeonju is like the best bibimbap i've ever had in my life :) You must try eating bibimbap when u come to Jeonju. 

2. Wear a Hanbok

As most of you know, hanbok is Korean traditional dress. In Jeonju, its famous with its Hanok Village and that's why you will see many people walk while wearing their hanbok. It's very normal to wear hanbok in Jeonju because most people will wear hanbok here. Not only international tourist, but you will also see local tourist (Korean people) wear their hanbok. When u come to Jeonju, It's like you enter the old Korean era. That's why you have to experience wearing hanbok here. If you don't have hanbok, don't worry u will see many stalls that rent hanbok so u can rent hanbok there. 

3. Visiting Jeonju Hanok Village

Jeonju is well-known for its Hanok Village. It is like the must-visit destination when you come to Jeonju. In my opinion, Hanok village in Jeonju is very different with Hanok village in Seoul. In Jeonju, the Hanok Village area is quite large and compared to Seoul, the ambience of Hanok Village in Jeonju is more traditional. As i've mentioned above, it feels like u enter the time machine and go to old Korean era because u will see most people wear hanbok and the surrounding area is also filled with many Korean traditional architectures. In this hanok village, not only can you walk and take photos but you also able to buy many street foods. There are many stalls that sell street foods in the hanok village area and i think you should try eating street foods there coz most of the foods look super delicious.
