Cofioca, Favorite Bubble Tea Cafe for Korean Idol

This time i'm going to share about a bubble tea cafe in Seoul, COFIOCA. This place is quite famous among Kpop Fans especially because many Korean Idols bought their bubble tea in this cafe.

As for the size, this cafe is actually small, with only two or three tables and several chairs, so obviously it's not really the place for a long time hangout. But still you can enjoy your bubble tea in the cafe if there are not many people there. When i visited this cafe, many people also buy and take away their bubble tea.

And if you are a fan of EXO, you probably knew that this cafe is known for Sehun and Luhan's favorite bubble tea. When Sehun and Luhan still became trainee in SM, they often hang out in this cafe and enjoyed their bubble tea here. It was a good old time memories, wasn't it?

Overall, I like the bubble tea sold in this cafe. The taste is quite good and the owner of this cafe is super nice. And the very special thing from this cafe is that you can find and see many signatures from many KPop Idols. This because Kpop Idols who bought bubble tea from Cofioca usually will give their signature on the paper and then the cafe's owner will stick that signature on the wall of cafe. So that you can see the walls are decorated with many Kpop Idols' signature. So cool !!!

Therefore, based on my opinion, I think this cafe is a must visit place for KPop fan. If you happen to be in Seoul, don't forget to try bubble tea here. Who knows that you can coincidentally meet your favorite Kpop Idols here. Because there are some experiences that Kpop fan coincidentally meet Kpop Idol in this cafe (I didn't meet though huu, but maybe you would). So, wish you luck!!!

  • After that, Keep walk straight, when you see GS25 turn to right.
  • That's it, after turn right, you could see Cofioca will be next to GS25.

How to go to Viva Polo - EXO Chanyeol's Family Restaurant

If you are a fan of EXO, especially if your bias in EXO is Chanyeol, I think you might be familiar with the name of Viva Polo.
Yep, as you might ever heard, Viva Polo is the name of Italian Restaurant which is owned by Chanyeol's mother. When I came to this restaurant, I luckily met Chanyeol's mom. She is super kind and she welcomed me warmly. However, I didn't take the picture with her because I was afraid that it will disturb her privacy.

Now, I will let you know how to go to Viva Polo:
Use subway, get off at Myeongil Station (Line 5, Purple Line), get out through Exit 1
From then, you could just walk a little by following my guide from the picture below. So, after exit, you could see a road in your right side, then turn right and walk besides the clothes store. Next, after clothes store, you could see a building with Viva Polo which is located on second floor.
Viva Polo is on second floor
I ordered Pasta
Inside Viva Polo
I could say the price in this restaurant is quite affordable. I ordered pasta which cost only around 10.000 Won. The place is really comfortable and it is full with all Chanyeol related things. Chanyeol's picture, drawing, art, and etc. EXO songs are also often played in this restaurant.
You can also see many photos of Chanyeol and many messages from fans that are put on the wall along the stairs which go to second floor. So, enjoy guys!!!

DMZ Tour in Korea

Traveling in South Korea is probably what most people dream about. However, when you visit South Korea, do you ever think to go to the most dangerous place in that country? As for me, i've been there once. Yep, i went to Korean DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). It is probably one of the most dangerous place in the country because it's a buffer zone as well as a border between South Korea and North Korea, however don't worry, you can still visit that area.  There are some of sites that is provided for tourists who want to know more about DMZ and the truth behind that area.

As for me, i went to some of places in DMZ such as:
1. Imjingak Resort (Nuri Peace Park)
It is a park which full of message of peace for both South Korea and North Korea.

2. The Third Tunnel
Based on the information from my tour guide, the third tunnel is the tunnel which is allegedly built by North Korean people so that they could go to South Korea secretly through that tunnel. However, North Korea people claim that it's not made by their people, but the tunnel was formed by nature.  Until this time, it is not clear how the tunnel could be formed because both sides have different opinion about this. (Please Correct Me If I'm Wrong about this info)

3. Odusan Observatory
In this place, there are many binoculars so that you could see North Korea's view. Well, it's not really clear for me, but some of my friends said that they could see North Korean flag (well, i don't know, coz i couldn't see it huuu). Anyway, in this place, we met one of the military man so that we didn't miss the chance to take a picture with him.

4. Dorasan Station
Well, obviously you could see that the tracks in this station is tracks to Pyeongyang, the capital city of North Korea. However, it's actually a non-active station and there is no "real" tracks to Pyeongyang here. So, don't expect you could go directly to North Korea from here hehe. But, the hope is someday this station could be operated so that there will be a real track to Pyeongyang from this Dorasan station. In that day, maybe South Korea and North Korea has been reunited again. Hopefully!!!

I went to DMZ with my school fellows, and we use travel agent to go there. From what I know, DMZ is quite far from Seoul and the place is quite difficult to reach using public transportation. So that, I recommend you to go to DMZ by using travel agent. Or maybe you can try the travel train that go to DMZ directly (I ever heard about this travel train but i don't know specifically, maybe you can search more about this train to DMZ). The most important thing is, if you are an international tourist like me (not Korean), please bring your passport when you go there or you will not be allowed to enter the area. Enjoy !!!

KDI School 2017 SPRING HIKING at Gyejoksan (Gyejok Mountain), Daejeon

Hiking is one of outdoor activites which is liked by many of Korean people. When i live in Korea, hiking naturally becomes my hobby because several times i had hiking activities with my school fellows, with my club members, or with my friend. Therefore, from what i experienced, i could draw a conclusion that Korean people just like hiking that much. (Maybe because it's healthy hehe^^).
Actually, my first time hiking experience is when i hiked hill behind my dormitory. But in this blog, i would like to tell a story  when i hiked the mountain with all KDI school fellows. KDI School Spring hiking is basically a routine activity held every spring and performed by all KDI School fellows. All students, school staffs, and even professors hiked and enjoyed activities together. This time, we went to Gyejeok Mountain which is located in Daejeon City.
KDI School Spring Hiking is really a good activity not only for your health but also for your soul. I enjoyed spring hiking so much because i had a lot of fun with my friends and other school fellows along the journey to the mountain. We also struggled and facing many obstacles together on the way to go to the top. Finally, we could reach the top proudly like a champion hehe :)
The most highlight part from this spring hiking is probably the beauty of Daejeon City that we saw from the top of mountain and the beauty of cherry blossom trees that we found in the middle of mountain.

I really fell in love with hiking because all of those things i've mentioned. The beauty of scenery, the journey, and of course the beautiful memories we created there. And what makes me more amaze with hiking in Korea is because the facilities provided in Korean mountain is so complete, from the track information, toilet, trash bin, stairs, and etc. If you come to Korea, hiking is one of activities that i highly recommend to you guys. See you again Korean Mountain!!! I will definitely go again one fine day ^^
How to go to Gyejok Mountain:
Using bus, from Daejeon bus terminal or Daejeon Station Bus Stop, take bus no. 2 and get off at Wa-dong Hyundai Apt. Bus Stop. Transfer to bus no. 74 and get off at Jang-dong forest park bus stop.
