Zelo was born on October 15, 1996 . He is a singer , dancer , rapper and beatboxer . Zelo is a member of the K - Pop Idol Group ' B.A.P ' . He is the lead dancer , lead rapper and maknae of B.A.P. In B.A.P , matoki ( bunny ) that he had was totomato. Zelo is a stage name taken from the name of the Greek god, that is 'Zelos', the god of competition . Zelo was given that name because he was working hard in the group . Zelo's struggle to become the idol as it is not easy . Before entering into TS Entertainment , he had been rejected by various other agencies because he is considered less talented and still too young. He also working hard by practicing for more than 20 hours per day. Before becoming a member of B.A.P, he first debuted with Bang Yongguk in 'Bang & Zelo' group with debut single entitled " Never Give Up " .
